THIS IS OUR P HACK

[00:00:01]

UP TODAY.

THANK YOU, VANESSA.

[CALL TO ORDER]

THAT'S THE NEXT OWNER AGENDA IS A SPECIAL MEETING, UM, AND, UH, TO CANVASS, THE OFFICIAL VOTES OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER PRIMARY ELECTIONS.

SO CLERK, PLEASE.

UM, I GUESS THE WAY WE DON'T NEED TO DO A ROLL CALL AGAIN, DOING ALL RIGHT, SEEING THAT CLERK,

[CONSENT]

PLEASE, IS THIS A REPORT MARY HART, KEY MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL.

THIS ITEM IS PRESENTED TO YOU FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION OF THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE OFFICIAL RESULTS OF THE PHYSICAL CANVAS OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER PRIMARY ELECTION.

SO THE CITY HELD ITS PRIMARY ELECTION ON AUGUST 4TH FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING THREE COUNCIL MEMBERS, 55,615 CHANDLER VOTERS CAST A BALLOT IN THE PRIMARY ELECTION.

AND AS A RESULT, UM, THREE CANDIDATES RECEIVED A MAJORITY OF THE VOTES CAST AND THEREFORE ELECTED IN THE PRIMARY ELECTION, UM, TO FILL THE COUNCIL SEATS, THE THREE CANDIDATES ELECTED ARE CHRISTINE ELLIS, MARK STEWART AND ODIE HARRIS.

UM, AND SINCE THESE THREE SEATS ARE FILLED IN THE PRIMARY ELECTION, THERE IS A RUNOFF ELECTION IS NOT NECESSARY.

I DID WANT TO POINT OUT THAT THERE WAS A 35 POINT 75% TURNOUT IN THIS ELECTION.

AND I DID GO BACK AND LOOKED AT THE LAST COUPLE ELECTIONS PRIMARY ELECTIONS IN AUGUST OF 2014, THERE WAS A 22% TURNOUT, AUGUST OF 2016.

THERE WAS A 25% TURNOUT AND IN 2018 AND AUGUST, THERE WAS A 29.72% TURNOUT.

SO IT'S QUITE A BIG TURNOUT THIS YEAR.

SO I'M WITH THAT.

THAT'S ALL.

UM, IT JUST THE CONSIDERATION OF THE CANVAS.

ALL RIGHT.

COUNSEL, ANY QUESTIONS SEEING NONE? IS THERE A MOTION MAYOR, COUNCIL MEMBER ORLANDO.

I MOVED THAT WE APPROVED THE CANVAS OF THE OFFICIAL RESULTS IN THE CITY OF CHAMPIONS, PRIMARY ELECTION OF AUGUST FOUR, 2020, OR EXCUSE ME, 20, 20 AND SECOND BY VICE MAYOR.

ALL RIGHT.

UM, WE VOTE OFFICIALLY SAY CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR CONTINUING AND JOINING COUNCIL MEMBERS.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO WORKING WITH YOU COUNSEL, PLEASE VOTE MOTION CARRIES UNANIMOUSLY.

SO BEFORE WE, WHERE WE STOPPED, I JUST HAVE A CURIOUS QUESTION.

OBVIOUSLY, THIS IS A FUNCTION, BUT IS THERE EVER BEEN A CASE WHERE PEOPLE HAVE EVER THE COUNCIL WAS EVER VOTED? NO, IT IS NOT OBVIOUSLY VOTED IN BY THE VOTERS, BUT IT'S THERE.

IT ALMOST SEEMS LIKE WE'RE VOTING, BUT THERE'S ONE, THERE WAS A ONE WAY ROAD HERE.

IS THAT CORRECT? MAYOR? HARKEY I'VE IN MY EXPERIENCE.

I'VE NEVER HAD I KNOW, BUT I COULD GO BACK AND DO SOMETHING.

I WOULD JUST, IT JUST SEEMS LIKE SOMETHING WE ARE REQUIRED TO DO, BUT IT'S JUST WHAT WE WILL, I GUESS IF THE ELECTION WAS MAYBE YEAH, YEAH.

ALRIGHT.

YES, COUNCIL, NUMBER ONE.

I THINK THIS IS BASICALLY TO THAT THAT'S MY HYPOTHESIS IS BASICALLY TO CONFIRM, OKAY.

THE DATA IS REAL.

UM, SO IF, IF ONE OF US HAVE QUESTIONED SAYING THE PUSSY ISHA DOES NOT FOLLOW THE BUPA SEIZURE OR THE RESULT WAS TEMPLATE OR SOMETHING, THEN WE HAVE THE, WE STILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO RAISE UP.

OBJECTION.

THAT'S WHY I THINK.

ALL RIGHT.

VERY GOOD.

WELL, WITH THAT CONCLUDES OUR SPECIAL MEETING.
