THE VISION GALLERY IS RIGHT ACROSS THE, THE GRASSY PARK IN THIS PARTICULAR COMPLEX. WE'VE REBUILT FIRE STATION NUMBER TWO AND I'M EXCITED TO INVITE THE COMMUNITY TO JOIN THE CHANDLER FIRE DEPARTMENT FOR THEIR FREE OPEN HOUSE AT THE NEWLY CONSTRUCTED FIRE STATION. NUMBER TWO ON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 3RD FROM NINE UNTIL NOON. FIRE STATION TWO IS THE FIRST PROJECT COMPLETED WITH THE 2021 VOTER APPROVED FUND AUTHORIZATION. AND THIS NEW STATION WILL IMPROVE PUBLIC SAFETY RESPONSE AND INCREASE CAPACITY FOR OUR FIRST RESPONDERS. THIS WILL BE A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY FOR THE PUBLIC TO SEE THE NEW STATION, LEARN ABOUT THE SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE CHANDLER TO FIRE DEPARTMENT, INCLUDING SAFETY, FIRE PREVENTION, EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS, AND, UH, JOIN MANY IF NOT ALL OF US ON CITY COUNCIL AS WELL. IT WAS INSPIRING TO SEE OUR COMMUNITIES COME TOGETHER TO RECOGNIZE THE IMPORTANCE OF DR. KING'S LIFE AND LEGACY, UH, AND TO CONTINUE HIS WORK FOR FIGHTING FOR EQUALITY AND JUSTICE. UH, CHANDLER'S DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING AWARDS, UM, HAPPENED AS WELL AND WAS, AND IT WAS ONE OF THE EVENTS ORGANIZED BY OUR VERY ONLY CHANDLER, OUR VERY OWN DEI TEAM. IF NIKKI OR ANYONE IN HER TEAM IS HERE, THEY DID A REALLY, THEY DID A REALLY GOOD JOB AS WE CELEBRATED MANY OF THE, UM, MANY OF US ON THE COUNCIL WAS THERE WHILE WE RECEIVED MANY INSPIRING, INSPIRING APPLICATIONS. TRULY THREE TRULY INSPIRING INDIVIDUALS RECOGNIZED, UM, AT THIS IMPORTANT EVENT. SO, SINA, SHE WAS AWARDED THE DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING DISTINGUISHED, UH, ACHIEVEMENT AWARD. UH, UM, HANNI WAS AWARDED THE EMMA RUCK EMPOWERMENT AWARD AND OUR YOUTH IN ACTION AWARD WAS GIVEN TO CALEB TRANE. WE ALSO HAD TWO HONORABLE MENTIONS, VIOLA, UM, VIOLA, FLOWERS AND RE THAT. THESE INDIVIDUALS ARE A FEW OF THE MANY WHO EMBODY THE WORK OF THE LEGACY OF DR. KING WITH WAS THE COMMITMENT TO RACIAL EQUITY, SOCIAL JUSTICE, AND CIVIL RIGHTS. AND I WANT TO THANK THE DEI TEAM FOR ALL THEIR HARD WORK TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN.
