UM, AFTERWARDS WE'LL BE, AND WE'RE, WE'RE DOING SOMETHING NEW THIS TIME AS RATHER THAN HAVING A REGULAR COUNCIL AND THEN A STUDY SESSION IN WHICH WE THEN DO THE, UH, ANNOUNCEMENTS AND OR THE, UH, THE AWARDS AND THE, THE PROCLAMATIONS AS IT, WE WILL BE MOVING THESE UP TO THE FIRST MEETING AND CONSIDERATION OF THE, YOU GUYS, I KNOW YOU WANNA STAY FOR OUR SECOND MEETING ANYWAY, BUT UH, IN CASE YOU GOT SOMETHING ELSE TO DO, WE DON'T WANNA KEEP YOU.

KRISTA JOINED TEAM CHANDLER IN 2013 AS A HR SYSTEMS ANALYST AND CURRENTLY IS AN APPLICATIONS MANAGER LEADING A TEAM OF FIVE INDIVIDUALS.

THE TEAM SUPPORTS COURTS MANAGEMENT SERVICES AND UTILITIES.

HER PEERS, STAFF, AND CUSTOMERS CONSISTENTLY RECOGNIZE HER AMAZING WORK AND LEADERSHIP.

KRISTA'S CURRENTLY PARTICIPATING IN THE CHANDLER PD LEADERSHIP COHORT PROGRAM.

A COUP COUPLE NOTABLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE THE IMPLEMENTATION OF BUSINESS REGISTRATION AND THE UTILITY BUILDING SOFTWARE.

SOME MIGHT REMEMBER HERE AT THE CITY WHEN A GROUP OF EMPLOYEES USED TO VISIT DEPARTMENTS DURING THE HOLIDAYS TO SAINT UH, CAROLS.

A FOND TRADITION THAT SHE MISSES AND HOPES MAYBE MAYOR, YOU'LL START THAT UP SOON.

UM, YES, UH, BRADY TELLS ME THAT YOU ARE ACTUALLY A PART OF THAT UH, PROGRAM HERE.

KRISTA AND HER HUSBAND ARE PROUD PARENTS OF A HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR.

HER HOBBIES INCLUDE BAKING, READING, SHOOTING, TRAVELING, AND VOLUNTEERING.

IN 2018, KATHY BECAME THE MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT IN THE NEW DEVELOPMENT SERVICES DEPARTMENT WHERE SHE NOW SERVES AS THE MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT.

IN HER CURRENT POSITION, KATHY'S RESPONSIBLE FOR OVERSEEING AND MANAGING THE DEPARTMENT'S FINANCES IS LIAISON TO VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS AND CONDUCT SPECIAL PROJECTS, ANALYTICAL SKILLS AND BROAD KNOWLEDGE OF DEPARTMENT OPERATIONS AND CITY OPERATIONS.

MAKE HER A PERFECT FIT FOR THESE ROLES.

LYDIA BEGAN HER CAREER AT THE CITY OF CHANDLER BACK IN MARCH OF 1993, AND OVER THE PAST 30 YEARS HAS ADVANCED THROUGH THE ORGANIZATION.

FIRST AS A PURCHASING ASSISTANT, THEN TO SENIOR ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST, THEN PROJECT SUPPORT ASSISTANT, THEN MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT, AND MOST RECENTLY WITH HER PROMOTION TO CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGEMENT SENIOR ANALYSTS IN THE CAPITAL PROJECTS GROUP WHERE SHE CONTINUES TO BE A VALUABLE MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC WORKS AND UTILITIES DEPARTMENT.

LYDIA HAS CONTRIBUTED HER KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE TO HELPING THE DIVISION ACHIEVE ITS GOAL OF PROVIDING EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CAPITAL PROJECT SUPPORT.

LYDIA IS NOW THE CITY'S GO-TO FOR ANYONE SEEKING ASSISTANCE ON ANYTHING TO DO WITH CAPITAL PROJECT FINANCE.

LYDIA IS THE EXAMPLE OF CHANDLER EMPLOYEE WHO EMBODIES THE VALUES OF THE ORGANIZATION, WHICH SHE DEMONSTRATES IN ALL THAT SHE DOES EACH DAY.

AND NEXT WE HAVE A PROCLAMATION FOR VALLEY BIKE MONTH.

SO JASON KRATON AND NANCY JACKSON CAN COME ON UP.

WE HAVE A PROCLAMATION TO READ, WHEREAS THE CITY OF CHANDLER CELEBRATES ITS 15TH ANNUAL FAMILY BIKE RIDE EVENT ON APRIL 1ST.

AND WHEREAS THE CITY OF CHANDLER VALLEY METRO AND SURROUND COMMUNITIES WILL BE PROMOTING VALLEY BIKE MONTH IN APRIL, 2023.

AND WHEREAS THROUGHOUT THE MONTH OF APRIL, THE RESIDENTS OF CHANDLER AND ITS VISITORS WILL EXPERIENCE THE JOYS OF BICYCLING THROUGH EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS. COMMUTING INCENTIVES, COMMUNITY EVENTS ARE BY SIMPLY GETTING OUT AND GOING FOR A RIDE.

AND WHEREAS BICYCLING AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO DRIVING CONTRIBUTES TO REDUCED POLLUTION, CONGESTION AND WEAR AND TEAR ON OUR STREETS AND ROADS.

AND WHEREAS CREATING A BICYCLE FRIENDLY COMMUNITY HAS BEEN SHOWN TO IMPROVE CITIZENS HEALTH, WELLBEING, QUALITY OF LIFE, ENCOURAGE

ECONOMIC ACTIVITY AND ATTRACT TOURISM DOLLARS.
